Frequently Asked Questions

Wondering how it all works? Find clear answers to our most common questions below.

As parents, we know how much a small snack can impact a child’s focus and energy. One of our children doesn’t eat lunch until nearly 12:30 p.m., and having something nutritious mid-morning makes all the difference in their ability to learn and stay engaged. Students are asked to bring a daily snack from home. While this works well for some families, we recognize that it can be a challenge — and at times not possible — for others, and teachers often rely on donations to help ensure all students have snacks. While there are free and reduced-price meal programs, we couldn’t find any program that provided snacks free of charge during the school day. We wanted to help.

We focus on prepackaged, nutritious, kid-friendly snacks that are easy to eat at school and purchased from grocery stores. Our goal is to provide options that help kids stay full, focused, and fueled throughout the day.

We’re based in Wake County, North Carolina, and currently focus our efforts on public elementary schools in the county. As support grows, we hope to reach more schools and communities.

We use the most recent public school system data to identify schools with the highest percentage of students receiving free and reduced-price meals. We prioritize schools starting with the highest need and move down the list as resources allow. Before delivering snacks, we connect with school leadership to confirm interest and ensure the school has the capacity to accept and distribute them. Parents, educators, and community members can also submit requests through our website, allowing us to remain flexible and responsive as new needs arise.

There are lots of ways to get involved:

💛 Donate — your support helps us purchase and deliver snacks to schools.
🤝 Volunteer — lend your time, skills, or energy.
📣 Spread the word — follow us on social media and share our mission with others.
🛍️ Shop – all profits from sales made through our store go to our snack fund.

Every bit of support makes a difference!
