On February 25th, 2026, just weeks after officially launching in January, Snacks for Kids reached an exciting and meaningful milestone: its very first snack delivery to Southeast Raleigh Elementary School. That began as a simple idea quickly became a tangible act of support for local students. That morning, boxes of snacks were delivered directly to the school — each one representing a shared belief that no child should have to learn on an empty stomach.

When we arrived at Southeast Raleigh Elementary, we were met with warmth, gratitude, and a shared sense of purpose. Standing alongside the school staff for a group photo marked more than just a delivery — it marked the beginning of a partnership.

Educators see firsthand the challenges students face each day, and their support reinforces why this mission matters. Snacks may seem small, but they can make a meaningful difference in a child’s ability to concentrate, engage, and thrive.

A Family Idea That Sparked a Mission

Snacks for Kids has always been a family effort at its core. The inspiration came from an unexpected but powerful moment. Elyse, our 8-year-old daughter, shared that one of her teachers had to give up her own snack so a student wouldn’t go without. That small act of kindness revealed a larger need—and planted the seed for what would become Snacks for Kids. Not long after, Isaac, our 9-year-old son, brought his own contribution to life by designing our logo and mascot, Snacky, using AI. His creativity gave the organization a face, a personality, and something kids could connect with.

The journey to this first delivery was hands-on from the start. As a family, we went out to purchase the snacks ourselves — filling carts with items chosen to be both kid-friendly and easy for schools to distribute.

Seeing it all come together, from store shelves to delivery, was a powerful reminder of how small actions can scale into real impact.

The Beginning of Something Bigger

This first delivery is just the start. Snacks for Kids was built on a simple idea: identify a need, take action, and involve the whole family in making a difference. February 25th, 2026 represents the moment that idea became reality. But it also points forward to what’s next. There are more schools to reach, more students to support, and more opportunities to grow this mission.
